Choosing Yonex Racuqet But Which One?
im changing my racquet to a yonex Rds but i dont know if i should get 1 or 2 i was was thinking of getting 2 because its lighter then 1 and more spin friendly. But there are barley ne tennis store in Toronto, Ontario that sells RDS 002 so im htinking of switching to RDS 001 MP. What do you think?
I HATE PRINCE RACQUETS THEY ARE BULL.(no offense just answer the question epople not give me suggestions of other racuqets jsut answer the freaking question
I used to play with a racket similar to the ones you are choosing between. It was the Yonex Super RD tour 90. It was heavier than most frames but you could still hit with lots of topspin. Heavier frames are usually better suited to players that have played many years, and hit the ball very hard. Sometimes players with less experience take to a heavier frame, but most players find it less forgiving than a similar frame of a lighter weight. So if you play a power baseline game, and want to re-direct the ball or drive it hard- then a heavier frame like the RDS 001 is an option. However If you want to develop a strong Kick-serve or hit groundstrokes with lots of topspin from corner to corner, you will be better served with the RDS 002. Plus the RDS 002 frame is more likely to be easier on your wrist and shoulder. Its not to say that you can't do these things with the RDS 001 frame because you can, but it requires more work, skill, and effort to acheive similar results. The RDS 002 frame is probably easier to maintain longer topspin rallies from the baseline, but the RDS 001 frame will be easier at blocking back a hard hit first serve on your return. Hopefully this breakdown of how each frame can help you in different ways will allow you to make the right choice of racket that is best suited to your game.
